3d trip to Marsh Hollow

Back to the cabin June 2008...
We just came back from another wonderful visit to the cabin in Hocking Hills. Only bad part was Dad hurting himself in a REALLY bad fall at Old Mans Cave. He slipped on a mossy slope and ended up in the Emergency Room. The people at Logan Hospital were VERY nice to me. They even let me sit in the Waiting Room with my sister, while mom stayed with dad. It's a good thing too, because it was about 85 degrees outside & way to hot for a girl like me to be left in the car. The folks at the hosptial were even kind enough to bring me some fresh water. :)

Emma enjoyed her 2nd trip to Marsh Hollow even more than her first. We can't wait to return again in June!

Poor little Emma fractured her leg

While playing (pouncing to be specific) a few weeks ago, Emma came down hard on her left front leg and we heard a crack. Afterwards, she couldn’t put any pressure on that leg at all. Since this happened on a Sunday, her Vet was closed, so we loaded her up in the truck and rushed her the Emergency Vet. (Undoubtedly, THE saddest place I’ve ever spent time at) $320 later, they brought our poor little Emma back to us with her leg in a little pink splint. We had to rearrange the entire Family Room and pull her old cage back out of the shed and set it back up. (To keep her from jumping up and down on the couch to see the squirrels.) Three weeks later,(and 2 more visits to her regular Vet, costing another $100) she’s doing much better. We’ll never forget how pitiful (and very unhappy) she looked with her cast on…
